McHenry Protective & Investigative Services provides comprehensive security services that are need specific to the cannabis industry located within the Fresno area. Our security solutions are flexible enough to adapt local and state regulations for microbusinesses, dispensaries, cultivators, manufacturers, distributors, delivery services, testing labs, and other related facilities.

We are ready to help obtain compliance under the City of Fresno Cannabis retail regulations.  The City of Fresno requires an Armed Security Officer to be onsite during business hours.  They also require either an armed guard to be onsite when the business is closed or have alarms monitored and an armed Security patrol Unit respond to alarms.  McHenry Protective & Investigative Services can provide both onsite armed security officers and armed alarm response. 

SECTION 9-3310. OPERATING REQUIREMENTS FOR A CANNABIS RETAIL BUSINESS.

(xii) Armed security personnel shall be on-site during operating hours. If armed security personnel are not on- site when the cannabis retail business is closed, a verified response security patrol shall be utilized. Security personnel must be licensed by the State of California Bureau of Security and Investigative Services personnel and shall be subject to the prior review and approval of the City Manager or his/her designee(s), with such approval not to be unreasonably withheld. Firearms shall be carried by security personnel at all times that they are on duty, except as otherwise authorized by the Chief of Police.
